DwK
Someone hit the Woofer on my Fishers. They are 11 or 12 inch woofers. And i'm not sure what they are made out of.. feels like paper......... But someone hit it, and the big black part is pushed in mostly. HOW DO I FIX IT??? And how does it affect the speaker? IS it going to hurt it?>?? http://www.firstcash.com/cgi-bin/info2?70252 << the big Woofer on the bottom, the black part is pushed in. ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
jimbobo
The piece you are refering to is the dust cap, if it is paper you could try getting a very thin screw, screw it in so about half of the threads are inside then GENTLY pull it out. Then unscrew it. However do not do this to the cone itself.

Mighty Favog
Yes. If not a screw, we used to use a plain ol' sewing pin. It may not look the same when you get it back out though using either method. There will probably be some creases where it folded during the initial crush. ------------------ Tom KLF-20 Mahogany Carver C-1 (McIntosh C33 is coming!!) mpgwagon
You can also try using a shop vac (or any vac with a hose attachment)to suck it back out. If it pulls it out you don't have to poke a hole in the dust cap.
