JohnA
Who built the mini La Scalas and posted pictures here a couplae of years ago? How did they turn out?
formica
John, you sure it's not the Baby Belles or the miniture Khorns? Those were both done by Don G. (aka: digjr ) who is real handy in the workshop. This would be a completed photo of the scaled down Khorn with 12" woofer... while this would be the baby belles. JohnA
No, that's not them, but I'd forgotten about digjr's "babies". It might have been Phil Hauck. I was thinking how impressive a mini La Scala center would be.
Tony Reed
John, Have you heard anything from Phil Hauck? I haven't heard from him in years. After the first Klipsch meeting he seemed to disappear. Tony
j-malotky
John If you find anything, please let me know. I have been thinking about this for some time too. I would like to design or hopefully find an existing design to build a LAS single fold bass horn around a 12" driver. I was thinking something like same width and depth of the LAS, with the bass horn height being 15-17" tall, depending on the practicality and responce of the design. If somebody has a design for this, I would really appreciate any enlightenment on this subject. Thanks, JM
Marvel
John, Try: http://www.volvotreter.de Under Old System are pics of his mini LS (10 in drivers), and the download section has the plans for them. He used an EVM12L I think. Marvel
j-malotky
Thanks for the link. Looking at his mini LAS.... It would be a 16" x 16" front using a 10" woofer. Very interesting. I see he has an email link on his page. I may have to email him and ask what the freq range and SPL are on that box. JM
