IndyKlipschFan
Many moons ago, when I first got on Ebay, I missed out of a perfect pair of birch raw..(ok personal choice I think they are a different speaker anyhow... in Birch Raw they just look fantastic!!!! For 1200.) It is a bad memory I never bought them. I now own 2 pairs..(4) La Scalas but to those on the board... You just might want to consider these very seriously too. Thats said, after being at the Klipsch get together last year, if in fact these have the new x overs in them, even better! (I am not in any way in this deal, I just wanted to pass the info along!) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3072511444&category=14993
Bill H.
Indy, Did I miss something? Was there supposed to be a link to see the speakers you are referring too?

scounce
Just a word of caution - I would take this eBayer's description with a grain of salt. Note that the labels pictured appear to be from a pair of La Scalas finished in black lacquer, not raw birch. Also, the AL-3 is not the newest crossover. The new AL-4 components are mounted on a circuit board, not a real board (as pictured). And besides, I have serial numbers 0001 and 0002 in raw birch. I'm sure these are very nice speakers, just be careful.
wrench_peddler
I noticed that about the tags and wondered the same thing. As far as the crossover, isn't the AL-4 only used in the KHorn? I thought the Lascala's still used the AL-3.
Deang
The new Klipschorn uses the AK-4. I would imagine this means the new LaScala uses the AL-4.
Doc Robin
i asked him the question and he replied that he has the receipt and thinks that the blk laq is a default code when he ordered them in raw birch anybody got an idea about this Bill
wrench_peddler
I have 99 Lascala's with the al-3.
