The advice already posted is fine.

For the money a used amp is the best value. The KLF-20's are 100 dB efficient, this means that you will only need 10 watts to get loud and 30 will make it really loud with lots of power to spare. A tube amp should make them sing, whether you decide to go new or used. Used is better value, but if you want the warranty, go new.

Both Craig and Ryan repair/upgrade amps (Scott or Eico) to suit your needs. You read the forums to find many happy customers. The Scott has more power (30-5 W) than the Eico (14 W), if that is what you are looking for. For about $600 US you have a refinished amp with better iron (transformer) that will play anything you want, even metal. It will also play other music, which you may appreciate later.

The speaker advice is good. For a receiver I would try and buy a preamp and separate amps for better sound. You can get decent amps for 250-350 and a preamp for the same or less. I have three E-Bay amps all for less than $300.00ea and they all sound great. Yamaha M65,M80, B@K ST202. Lots of power and they pay big dividends for loud music.
