texas42
Hi, I have a bunch of vintage gear I need to sell (time to scale back some) and wondering specifically what is a fair price to sell a pair of Quartets and Heresy's for. Both are in excellent condition in Walnut. The Heresy's have the risers. Will offer up here first, then ebay, as per forum protocol. I also may be selling my Cornwalls as well and looking to buy either a set of Chorus or Fortes, preferably black to match the rest of my gear. I will also be selling a bunch of vintage electronics, to include the following: Ohm Walsh 2 Speakers (refinished, very nice) Marantz HD-770 Speakers (likewise, recently refinished) Sansui G-8700DB receiever (one of the LARGE ones) Yamaha CA-810 Integrated Amp (near mint) Pioneer SX-737 receiver Akai GX-4000D reel to reel (would trade for decent cd player). Email or PM if interested. References and perfect ebay feedback can be given. Regards, Dave
sheltie dave
Dave, are the OHMs actually Ohm C2s or the Walsh F inverted cones? The Ohm C2s were real swaeet conventional three ways and could give the Heresys a fair run for their money, lacking only the stellar efficiency. pulmoguy
I just bid on some walnut Heresy's with risers on ebay. Auction closes in 7 days. If I lose, I'm very interested. (By the way, hope I'm not violating protocol, but I'm new here, and a bit used to ebay.) As far as pricing, most Heresy's on ebay have been $300-450, and Heresy II's a little more. texas42
No, these are the "Walsh 2's" with the patented Lincoln Walsh omni-directional inverted cone, ala the Walsh F. It has the imaging of a planar but with the dynamics and bass of a dynamic cone speaker. ---------------- On 2/2/2004 1:13:45 PM sheltie dave wrote: Dave, are the OHMs actually Ohm C2s or the Walsh F inverted cones? Piranha
How much are you asking for the CW's?
texas42
I'm looking for $750 plus shipping. They are birch, but not raw. The original owner had them lacquered. I am also open for trades (for any of my equipment). I am looking for a pair of chorus or fortes, and a klipsch center channel (RC3-II, RC-35, or Academy- in reverse order but doubt I will find an academy). Speakers are available for audition in San Antonio, TX. ---------------- On 2/2/2004 7:09:52 PM Piranha wrote: How much are you asking for the CW's? ----------------
wrench_peddler
Texas42, I have a RF3 that will be here by the end of the week. I am looking for some Heresy's. I think the RF3's were made in O1 so I don't know if they are II's or not.

I will be patient and wait for speakers in the So Cal area. Preferably LaScalas
