Klipsch RF7
Thanks Paul, do they offer free shipping? Ill call them and see what deal they can give me Also, My Pirates of Penzance CD on the Decca Label came in about 30 minutes ago. And it sounds so nice! Im going to add HMS Pinafore to the list as well on the Decca label.
Parrot
If you subscribe to elusivedisc's email list, they will email you an offer of specials once a week. Sometimes it'll be free shipping, sometimes 10% off record players and assorted equipment, sometimes $2 off each SACD, and so on. If they won't budge on the 10%, you can always wait until they have the special of 10% off. It shouldn't be long, maybe another week or two. But if they are good businessmen, if you talk to the boss I bet he'd give it to you now. That would be a heck of an order for them. Happy listening. Joe Shmoe
I don't have a SACD player YET, but I did just buy my first DVD-A which is Queensryche - Empire I have to say it was very impressive! I can see my DVD-A collection growing in the near future.
Klipsch RF7
I subscribed to Elusivedisc and will see what specials they offer and knock that order out asap
Parrot
Handel, It's great you have the dough to buy so much music. Kind of the exact opposite of an old friend of mine who had a pretty decent reel-to-reel machine, but only about 10 tapes to play on it. I think recorded music is the biggest bargain in the world. Depending on how many times you listen to it, it can get down to pennies a play. Contrast that with sports events, movies, dining out, whatever, it's incredibly cheap. Plus, SACDs are PERFECT SOUND FOREVER!
Klipsch RF7
That is correct Paul, music is forever and it is something that you can use over and over and over and enjoy. Ive got two lists now, one is the classical list you made me and one on Towerrecords.com that i will order. I appreciate everyones list, its all special and diversified
Parrot
That's the beauty of finalizing an audio system that you like--then you can put disposable income into music.

Guess I'll have to pay for shipping. Missed one on my list, Carol King, Tapestry - Stereo version. There were two versions out there, one with stereo only and one with multichannel. garymd
I also have the Carole King SACD. I've always liked her music but the SACD doesn't seem all that great to me. Not even sure which version I have (I only do 2-channel). Volume seems to be out of sync a little. Voice to low sometimes, other wierd volume changes. Just checked and it's multi-channel. You shouldn't play the multi channel layer in a stereo-only system.
