Yes I marked them all. It sounds OK. Nothing like the 299D though.

The unit on Ebay in Cloumbus Ohio, appears to have the 680A Amp. These are primo amps! It's almost identical to the power amp section of the 500C receiver. I came across the amp and preamp out of a "Futura" console (model F-58) a couple years ago. It sat on a shelf for months till I got around to tinkering wiyh it. I hooked it up to a pair of Fisher xp-9C speakers and Thorens turntable and fired it up.

I got the surprise of my life! The thing sounded just flat out amazing! Better soundstage and three dimensionality than either my 400 receiver, x202c amp, or my 500C! No BS here! I sold it last year just before a major move and I've regretted that ever since. I just got another preamp/tuner and amp off Ebay and this one will not get away! These are fine units and I wouldn't rush to cut it up til you have a chance to really listen to it.
