I don't think they know what they're doing. Look how they install the tubes!!

This cracked me up, too:

With 45 watts of tube amplification (as a general rule of thumb, one "tube-watt" is equivalent to 2-3 solid-state watts), the H34 has the power to drive even the most demanding loudspeaker systems...

Seriously, though, it might sound nice, only one way to tell....

Somewhat utilitarian (like those from Ideal Innovations), but functional I suppose. True, there's no mention of any preamp stage...gosh, does it have one?

I'm sure it's a good amp, though...Hell, it has to be if it has a pair of 6SN7s!

No no phono with input sensitivity of 300mV and 100kohms:

Frequency Response: 18Hz to 30Khz

Power Rating: 45W x 2

Input Impedance: 100K Ohms

Output Impedance: (4 or 8 Ohms)

Input Sensitivity: 300 mV

S/N Ratio: >90dB / T.H.D - 1% (standard tube spec)

Dimensions (WxHxD): 19" x 7.5" x 11.5"

Weight: 71 lbs.

71 POUNDS!!!!???

I did a Google search and the only things that came up referenced this site and a site in Chinese. The Chinese are making some very good for the dollar amps these days and they all seem to be "tweakable" for us loonies.

(I'm sorry I forgot "Loonies" are Canadian) So does that make us Toonies ( no that's Canadian too, dang I need some help here!)2.gif
