Necessity is the Mother of Invention? It's often amazing what you can accomplish when you have to. Look at the Apollo 13 launch. (I think that was it, no?)

p.s. Whatever you do, don't substitute a .22 L.R. cartridge for a fuse in your car!!!

Although you DO have my curiosity up now, Craig. Could you at least give us a link to the 3 week old thread?

I guess you have a right to toot your own horn after that save. Let me guess: If you had replaced the transformer, it *still* wouldn't have worked without that 15 cent resistor, correct?

Yup !! You know all to well that you have to look to the simple things first to find the answer 99% of the time. Didn't we just stumble onto something like this with a amp of yours 2.gif
