No, i did not take out the preamp at all. i sprayed the contact cleaner on the connectors(mini jacks and spring clips)

first remove the speaker stand (easiest way to get the control pod off) and then...

Hello:

Being in Rochester, NY, we have a company called Castle Products. Tried their contact cleaner and when I came to the twist speaker cable points, I sprayed and the plastic all cracked.

Find a non needed test point.
