Pistol Pete
This may have already been posted but I just noticed that the new 'k' series? specs are posted up at Klipsch's website. http://www.klipsch.com/product/product_list.aspx?line=reference
STL
I think they look pretty sharp!
dkp
I actually heard the THX system a couple of weeks ago at the local Klipsch dealer. Here is my Cliff-Notes review: In my opinion, these speakers are not as musical as the Reference 7 lineup. The highs seem to be rolled off a bit and the overall sound (for music) is inferior to the RF-7s. For movies, they sound exceptional, although I would like to hear an RF-7 system with two subs for a slightly better comparison, as the THX has two. I will do some more listening, but at this point my impression is that my RF-7 system sounds better for music. While the THX system does a very nice job for movies, I'm not sure it is worth the difference in price from that of an RF-7 system. I am equally sure that some will disagree with my assessment...to each his (her) own! David
Darren
David - Thanks for the quick review. I'm very interested in how these sound - specifically, how they compare to the 7 series. I can't wait to hear these myself.
Beetlejuice
I had a chance to demo a 7.1 thx system powered by an Aragon Stage 1 and 2007 amp today at my local dealer. He popped in Attack of the Clones and I watched all my favorite seens. I must say for movies this system sounded awesome. I didn't get a chance to listen to music. My dealer did say he didn't feel they performed as well as the RF7s with music.
