YENDOR
Good day members, I am trying to help my sister pick out a Fathers day gift for her husband. She is going to supprise him with a Home Theater system, currently has Sony 36"tv, dvd, nothing else. Her budget is $1500. I suggested 5oo, on an yamaha HRT 5750 and rest on klipsch sysgenry system 5.1 from bb made sure to factor in for extras and its a done deal. Are there any better options? All suggetions welcome thank you, peace Yendor
Griffinator
What's her zip code? We need to find a Reference dealer nearby. You can get pretty darned close to that price point with a Denon AVR-1804, 3 pairs of RB-35's, and an RSW-10. Much nicer than a BB system, same cost. RRRush
Ditto. Agree with Griff.... You might be able to score a 2803 on closeout.
meuge
I find that the 5.25" drivers on the 15s are a bit small for mains. Using a pair of RB-25s for fronts might be an inexpensive option to upgrade the sound, but I am not sure.

Make a few calls and see what you can come up with. http://www.klipsch.com/locator/index.aspx?zip=19131 I'm heading over to architectural now.
