007
My budget is set more or less at the low end. I am leaning toward this projector but I thought i should ask here b4 spending a grand. http://www.infocushome.com/amer/eng/products/screenplay/sp4805.asp Any comments? 007
I'm also thinking about the infocus x2 which is $500 cheaper. It only supports 800x600, but this is strictly for movies so do I need 1024x768?
dkp
I believe there are more differences between the X2 and the 4805 besides the resolution. I think the color wheel on the 4805 is a bit faster and it is also a 16:9, rather than 4:3 native image. There used to be a business that demo'd the X1 projector for 10 days, shipping included. You may be able to demo the X2 in a similar fashion and get the 4805 from your local shop to demo it against. I will try to locate the form I used to demo my X1 to get you their telephone number. If budget is a primary concern (when is it not?) you may be able to pick up an X1 right now for a song. I got mine for about $800 when they were selling for $1,000. Play your cards right and you'll be able to pick one up for $500-750. David
damonrpayne
Looks pretty decent for the money, I'd check to see if there's a Projector Central review. How big an image are you looking for?
dkp
007, here is the link to the site I was talking about. Simply fill in the form and you will get the projector for 10 days, no cost to you. With the X2 now available, you may want to see if they have different models available (4805?). Good luck. https://www.vernontech.com/partner/infocus/ David
