Indy,

I don't know, Nora is a little nasal and a little pudgey but, if she were my daughter you could not keep the beam off my face. She is certinally a breath of fresh air in the music industry.

I have that DVD also, I thought it was DVD-A and was also underwhelmed but it was a good performance. No crotch grabbing, no lip-synced break dancing, no screaming, just a sincere performance by the artists.

I think she will improve with age and experience with song writing. JMHO.

I heard the Norah duet with Ray Charles. One of the best cuts on the album. Their breathing was almost in sync.

Met Ray Charles once as well, and he was a wonderful person. I'm sorry to see him gone.

Allan said it once -- she isn't a jazz singer. Good, but not a jazz singer.

Since I can't seem to get a PM to go, I wanted to let you know the CDs did arrive and they sound great. Thanks much.

Glad you enjoy them. I hope you got the chance to listen to the Tanglewood Piano Jazz link above. True enough, her releases don't define her as a jazz singer, but performances such a Tanglewood showcase her as a force to be reckoned with... but of course this is only my opinion 2.gif .
