NOSValves
For the 12AT7 I have been using Mullard CV4024 with great results. Check eBay for brand new in box with pin protectors . Craig
3dzapper
Those Mullards Craig recommended and a Telefunkin smooth plate 12AX7 will get you where you want to be. In your sweet spot enjoying the music!!! Rick
Erik Mandaville
Mark: Wow! All this time I've thought you were a current Klipsch owner/user, but just now noticed that's not the case.
radiob
Erik, What is your reveiew on the woodpecker stylus? Where can I purchase one? What do you do if it craps on your LP?

garymd
I replaced my bugle boy 12AX7 with a telefunken and heard improvement there. I thought the bass tightened up and went a little deeper. Right now I use GECs in the 12AT7 slots but have 4 new mullards (CV 4024 - same ones Craig recommended) as backups. If you want, I can sell you 2 of my mullards. I don't think I'll ever need them. PM me if you're interested. They're brand new, never used.
Royster
Welcome to Vinyl. Tubes vinyl and horns, thats the stuff that sends chills up your spine. Spend as much as you can afford and then a little more for the best cartridge and arm. It is money well spent.I am partial to the Lyra Helikpn and SME 300 combo, but find what works for your rig. I also use the mullards in my stage. ENJOY and WELCOME BACK TO GROOVES.
ben.
Before spending $$ on tubes, I'd make sure to treat the case with boiled linseed oil.

NOSValves
Been I have to tell you that one really made me laugh LOL !! I'm not entirely sure of the effects of putting BLO over Tung Oil so someone in the know might want to inject something here just to make it clear. ben.
I'm just busting his chops for never giving a straight answer in a couple other threads. I wouldn't think BLO over Tung would be a good idea.
3dzapper
I wouldn't put BLO on my tung. Rick
