damonrpayne
I don't think DTS takes longer to make than DD, but making 2 soundtracks takes twice as long as making 1.
Juba310
If you like insane action, this movie is great. Vinny sure pulled off some incredible moves.
gcoker
Finally got to see Pitch Black. Thought it was ok. To me it didn't add much to the Chronicles move. I still think Chronicles of Riddick was outstanding. Pitch Black was average.

They just chose not to put it on there. The Pitch black DVD was Dolby and dts the first day it was released. I have definitely noticed how few DVDs are coming out with dts tracks these days. For a while it was common to see dts, Pitch Black and U-571 were released on the same day, both with kick @$$ dts soundtracks. These days, dts releases are few and far between. I guess most people just don't care.
damonrpayne
I don't know todd. To the home theater and audio crowd a DTS soundtrack is still a mark of distinction IMHO. ( I look for them )
Colin
loved Vin Diesal in Pitch Black, will have to watch Riddick now...

I'm saying most average Joe Six-Pack guys don't care. I have a bunch of dts movies from when they made a seperate dts version and cut out some of the extras. They are the best!!! I think the last movie to do that was Saving Private Ryan, and that was what, Three years ago?

ygmn
Watched my USED version...last night... Pretty entertaining....not really related to Pitch black at all...very different from pitch black.....I cannot say better...as they are both different and each good in their own way.... the ending....kinda leaves it open for another sequel... the movie is worth owning if you like sci fi....action... Better to pick it up Used....IMO.... Special features kinda stink as a whole...one of them is good
