joessportster
heres one for you guys, i see a pair of heresys for sale or at leastt the guy is advertiseing them as heresys, but he says they have a 10" woofer, and he cant find a serial# on them, in my limited experience i thought heresy had a 12" woofer, i confronted the seller he replied the older heresy 1 had a 10" woofer and the 2's came out with 12" can anyone help with this, also would the serial# be stamped in the wood as it is on my cornwalls or would that only be on the labels (inspection tag)
Marvel
Have a pair of both in the house. They both use 12 inch woofers. The SN on the originals is stamped into the wood on the back of the cabinet along the top edge. As well as being on the stickers. I think this is correct. I would have to climb over some stuff to look at them right now to see. The HII models are only on the sticker (mine are gone). Hope this helps. jdm56
Be careful my man, the heresy, both I & II, has always had a 12 inch woofer. Maybe this guy just doesn't know whereof he speaks, or else what he's selling isn't a heresy at all.
garymd
Only 1 possibilty here. These are really, really old heresys and they had a 10" woofer option. I doubt it but the original cornwall did have a 12" option. That was 1959 or 1960 I think. I've never heard of such an animal but stranger things have happened. 3dzapper
Some people mistakingly measure the size of woofers by measuring just the diaphram or cut-out. The woofer cut out on a Heresy is 10 1/2" (I just measured it). It's easy to mistake that for a 10" woofer. Rick
