La Scala and Mapleshade Threaded Heavyfeet?

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering how thick the plywood is on my La Scalas because I'd like to purchase some of the brass Mapleshade "Heavyfeet" to screw into the bottom of my speakers. I'm looking at the self tapping woodscrews Mapleshade offers but I'd like to aviod screwing them into plywood that's so thin the plywood falls appart on my mint La Scalas.

Any advice?

Thanks again.

Thanks Rick,

One of my main isues is that I would like to raise both speakers up slightly with the front of each speaker being slightly higher than the rear. "Grippers" eh'? What are they and how high would they raise the speaker off the floor?

Thanks again,

I personally have not tried any other Mapleshade products but pal of mine has installed the heavyfeet on a old pair of Altec speakers and the Mapleshade heavyfeet are top notch interms of their quality.

I want to have the front of my La Scalas about two and a half inches high and the rear about a half inch high and this fits with what Mapleshade offers. They also offer some cool brass spun "Domes" called furniture savers that slip over the heavtfoot spikes that are cheap enough so that I'll be ordering them as wel to see how they work.

I'll let you guys know,
