126mhz Posted January 18, 2005 Share Posted January 18, 2005 I'm wondering how thick the plywood is on my La Scalas because I'd like to purchase some of the brass Mapleshade "Heavyfeet" to screw into the bottom of my speakers. I'm looking at the self tapping woodscrews Mapleshade offers but I'd like to aviod screwing them into plywood that's so thin the plywood falls appart on my mint La Scalas. Any advice? Thanks again. 126mhz Posted January 23, 2005 Author Share Posted January 23, 2005 I personally have not tried any other Mapleshade products but pal of mine has installed the heavyfeet on a old pair of Altec speakers and the Mapleshade heavyfeet are top notch interms of their quality. I want to have the front of my La Scalas about two and a half inches high and the rear about a half inch high and this fits with what Mapleshade offers. They also offer some cool brass spun "Domes" called furniture savers that slip over the heavtfoot spikes that are cheap enough so that I'll be ordering them as wel to see how they work.
