tkot
today in preperation for leaving town for a week i did an inventory of all my drivers( i listen to every driver in every speaker to make sure they all work) for thoes of you who my listening habbits, you know why that way when i get home if somethings smoked i know whos to blame! now for my question: the woofers in both cornwalls seem to be running near full range? i also have a pair of heresys and the woofers seem to be crossed a lot lower? is this normal or have i developed a crossover prob?? thanks jay
Deang
It's not likely that you're having a 'problem' with the crossover. I believe you are running Type B's, and the only thing in the LF circuit is an inductor. Regardless of how close you put your ear to the woofer, I'm sure your ear is picking up some of the output from the squawker. Whatever it is you think you're hearing -- if BOTH speakers are doing it, it's probably normal.
tkot
dean i thought about that and covered the mid/high drivers. the upper mid bass lower midrange sounds comeing out of the woofer were way muddy. would a pair of your crossovers fix this? it has to effect the overall sound of the cornwalls thanks jay
Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted February 1, 2005 Klipsch Employees Share Posted February 1, 2005 The crossover point is at 400 Hz...some of the early networks did let the LF cabinet wook fullrange...But most were used in the Belle.
