bitece
I'm looking for a pair of bookshelf/monitor speakers for our family room. Here's the deal: My wife has the decorating bug and the "WAF" for these speakers is going to factor into the decision. I'm looking for a pair of small speakers for 2-channel music somewhere around $1000 pair. Any ideas?
edwinr
The best in the market is the RB75. Match these speakers with a Klipsch Reference series subwoofer later on down the track... Unbeatable.
nicholtl
Unbeatable, he says!
dr-dezibel
As I see from your sig you're a Heritage man, so why not Heresy?? Too big? Not much bigger than RB75 that others suggested. Put a plant on them and WAF should be OK. Add a sub later on and sound will be terrific! Of course RB75 are very good speakers.
Bill H.
Bitece, If you budget doesn't allow for RB 75's - the RB 35 is also an excellent choice!
vgtvidz
I've heard the RB-25 with a RW-12 and I was very impressed... I would match the RB-35 with a subwoofer!
colterphoto1
I've got both RB3 II and RB5 II (the older model of the Reference bookshelves). I think they are all very well balanced, good looking speakers. The older ones are REAL WOOD VENEER, if you can find em. But any of the series would do well in a family room. Larger models will exhibit better low frequency response due to larger woofer and cabinet. otoh, Heresy might be too large, depending on the scale of the bookshelf unit. Any speaker could be hidden behind a custom grille in the bookcase if the WAF wanted the speakers 'invisible'. Michael
DrWho
Heresies aren't too pretty either if you ask me... RB-75 would be my recommendation (then going down the series depending on price and all that).
bitece
I won't be using a subwoofer. Just looking for a pair of speakers on the smaller side. I think my Heresy II's are a little too big.
