dodger
On the MSN homepage, there is a warning article regarding blackouts this Summer. Predicating a blackout, there can be several minutes of low voltage - brownout. This can be as damaging over time as a Surge. Thus you can go to a true Line Conditioner, which will keep the Current steady. Or if you are in an area that is known for Power interruptions, purchase a meter that at least will display the actual number of volts. Prevention is the best form of Protection. Mighty Favog
I use the volt meter on the front of the Monster Power 5000S all the time if I think the power is see-sawing all over the place. I'd like, someday, to get one with a regulated output like the computer has (APC Back-UPS Pro 650). But I'd need one with about 12 outlets.
