DVD rec advice

Bobby,

The OneCall.com site has DVD recorders on it in a wide range of prices. Some also have hard drives.

There are several different recording formats. Some work like a VCR, DVD-RAM. Others are write once only, DVD-R. Different brands support different formats.

I have a Panasonic DMRE-95HS that supports DVD-RAM and DVD-R. It has a hard drive and it is slow to boot and may freeze on boot. Otherwise, it is very good.

I think DVD recorders are great. I have the panasonic E55. I payed $199 at Costco. It records on DVD-ram and DV-R. Puts out a great picture as well on my 90" diagonal front projection screen. A Vcr looks like crap when blown up that big so in the closet it went. It will not be used by me again.

Peace

I don't know. But in my case it's a replacement for a vcr. Not to copy other DVDs.

yes, because it's illegal to rip a copy protected DVD using DVD decrypter v.3.41.2 and the burn it on Nero Recode v.6.2.14, not that I am familiar at all with that sort of thing because........
