rplace
Sounds like you got all the colors covered, feersum. How is my old academy sounding now that you have had time to give it a workout?
Frzninvt
All Black Academy's are veneered in Oak, so if you have an Oak Raw one all you have to do is paint it black. Someone here used I believe Rustoleum 7777? I think might have been Tom M. or Tom A. that painted the Heresy's? If you sand a Black Academy it will be an Oak finish but the grain will be overdefined due to the black paint, but it is doable!

popbumper
Charles: Your HII's are packed again, I will take them to work tomorrow, address and seal, and get them out to you. Thanks again for working with me! Chris

merkin
Chris Let me know about your academy when it comes on the market. I have my eye open for an oak for a center rear for a 6.1 set up. By the way your crossover is working great in my front academy. Your instructions were great. I screwed up and cracked the post on my tweeter. Then I took it to a local hack to see if he could solder it. Well he just screwed it up more so I just ordered a new tweeter. Can you just replace the little plate with voice coil and posts? Electronics like golf I have the hands of a black smith.
popbumper
Merkin: Sorry, can't address replacing the tweeter - I have not done this before. Please send me an email to talk about the Academy I will be selling. Thanks! chris
