Compare RF 35's to Fortes??

Both RF-35's and Fortes can be purchased for about the same price. Does anyone have any experience in comparing the two?

I haven't heard the RF-35's, but I have heard the both the Forte I and II's. I've never heard of anyone buying Forte's and regretting their purchase.

I have heard both and came very close to buying used Forte I locally and again seriously considered a pair of Forte IIs when I had the chance . . . I REALLY liked them.

in the end (right or wrong) I decided to proceed down the Referance road (RB-35s for now that will move to the rear when I can get RF-35s) due to Availability, space and HT (center channel compatiblity)

I have owned both the Forte II's and RF-35's and I preferred the sound from the RF-35's. I found the Forte II's to be brighter with my system then the RF-35's. As well I preferred the sound of the bass in the RF-35's.

Both great Klipsch speakers but I prefer the warmer smoother sound of the RF35.

If you prefer the more "IN YOUR FACE" and a little harder on the ears, so to speak,

than the Forte would be your cup of tea.

What are you guys using for amps????? I've heard both and the fortes won easily. That was with tubes however. Maybe in a HT or SS setup it could be different.

I have both RF-35s and Fortes. While I do think the RF-35s are fine speakers, to me they're not in the same league as my Fortes.

I use the Fortes in my 2 channel setup and the RF-35s are in the bedroom 5.1 setup. I have tried them on the same amp I use with the Fortes along with other RF series speakers I have and the amps I use with them and in my opinion they work best for me in a secondary surround setup. Good for surround sound, not nearly as good for music only.

Quality and power wise I think the A-250 is great. But, I do find it a little on the bright-side, which maybe why I preferred the RF-35's over the Forte's. Overall, it works very well with the RF-7's and my SP1.7.
