damonrpayne
I just got the utterly ridiculous razer copperhead mouse. It is a 2000 dpi optical mouse with a 1000hz USB polling rate. The mouse has embedded firmware and memory such that any sensitivity or button macro setting changes you make can be saved on it and just taken to another PC etc. Its very neat that without installing any special driver I can click a button on the mouse itself and change sensitivity on the fly.Its also very pretty:

damonrpayne
I was using the first edition razer boomslang before. I don't use the side buttons, so I'm not sure what you'd be looking for. They seem easy enough to get to.
eron
I was using a logitech mx duo before switching to a razer diamond back. I must say, the side buttons aren't as friendly as logitech's. I stopped using the side buttons altogether because it's just so awkward on razer mouses. But the mouse's sensitivity works great and it's lighter than logitechs. Wired vs wireless. wheelman
That's a sweet lookin mouse you got there. I was gonna get a razor. I wasn't sure how it would work for just cruizin the net. Most the time that is all I do. When I go to game I don't like having to turn the mouse a thousand times to make a turn.
DrWho
so how do you get headshots?!? I keep my gaming sensitivity real low so that I gain as much accuracy as possible (I won't shoot until the shot is lined up, even if it means I die). I just adjust my gameplay so that I never have to swing around fast [] so how much did this fancy mouse thing cost?
damonrpayne
DrWho, I used to be quite the headshot guy even with very high sensitivity. I'm getting old though and have been turning the sensitivity down. The mouse cost $80.

damonrpayne
I play Quake3, Doom3, Quake4, FEAR, UT 2004, I have not had this issue with my mizous. Sounds like its CS.
DrWho
When in doubt, uninstall, reboot, and reinstall everything. Sounds to me like some setting is off...I know of joysticks that had little tweaks where you could hold a button for X seconds and afterwards you couldn't let go until you pulled the trigger again (kinda like when using a drill...they have switches to keep the trigger pulled so you don't have to hold it). paulio
i use the 510 as well, i dont know what i'd do with no side buttons. logitech has done me wrong by removing 1 of the side buttons on the new g7.
tc3sean
The higher the dpi dosent always mean more hs's and performance, alot of gamers i know prefure the mx series over diamond back's in FPS games the high dpi is tooo much. The Mx510 is well balanced, weight, and dpi level. I must say the mx510 is one of the best mouses ive owned, and id go crazy without sidebuttons.
