Yamaha vs Yahama

I have the opportunity to purchase a DSP-A2 integrated amp or a 2095 receiver. I can get the A2 with remote for $800 and the 2095 for $700 without remote(s). Both items were returned to store as is, they are in good working condition and the warranty is intact for both. Having the tuner in the 2095 will not benefit me because I do not listen to the radio. I'm not really into home theater now even though I have the setup. Mostly, I like to put in CDs and listen to music. I currently have a Sony DTR-835 that I bought used from a friend. Since I'm new to HT I thought that it would take me a while to out grow the 835, it only took 6 mos. The 30s sound like they are begging for more power. I feel as though I missing something in the music. My mains are KLF-30s, center is the C-7 and I considering the RS-7s in the future. When I turn the volume up on the Sony my speakers clip at the 1200 position. I'm sure that either would be a considerable step up from the sony but I solicit your input on both the A2 and the 2095. For curiosity sake, I've also looked at the Outlaw 1050, is this receiver in the same league as the A2 and 2095?

Thanks Easyeyes

I've got 30's hooked up to a Yamaha 995 it's 100 watts per channel and taken it to "11" and I had to leave the room. also if I may add the 30's were wanting more power! no strain and sounded very crisp!

I second that, the Yamaha DAP-A2 gets my vote here,I had the DSP-A1 for over a month over a year ago and it sounded damn good on music...and movies.

Great bult quality, good feel(this quality lasting feel)and plenty of features.

DSP-A2 with no hesitation.

Thanks avman, since I'm not too concerned about the radio, I'm leaning toward the A2.

Yes, it is an expensive hobby and No, I'm not going to sell you my 30s, stop asking. But, since you are having problems with those dual SVS 20-39s, sell me one of them; I'll come by your house tonight and pick it up.

Avman, I see that you are in the Big Easy. I lived in Shreveport/Bossier City for 7 years. I've been to N.O. several times, but no desire to do the mardis gras thing. The weather here in England is completely different than the humidity of Louisiana.

Who are you buying your Klipsch from? I tried the authorized dealer in Bossier, and they aren't very helpful or knowledgeable about the new products.

Hey easyeyes, I won't sell you one of my SVS subs but after another night trying to figure out this EQ I might let you have that for FREE!!!

easyeyes; after 10 yrs. in 'the 'biz',i've made quite a few contacts. i got a klipsch dealership for a security company in missisippi, unfortunately the buisiness owner met with his demise in an untimely fashion, and his wife returned the unsold speakers! kinda a black eye for me, but i, having sold klipsch for a number of buisinesses, still have them available to me at a discount. i should say that i bought my ksps-6's from talk-to-Keith, and, as promised, they were in perfect condition! i currently sell from 9-to-5, and do service calls/installations after work. avman.

Craig 6519,

Another night of working with the dual SVSs and the new equalizer that you picked up, how is it going? I thought something such as the equalizer would made the subs sound better, but in your case, it's not working out that way. Let me know how you progress with this work in action.
