TEXASRONANDTRISH
I'll have to go with V2 with V1 right behind... Agreed, with MK3 right behind that. I don't care too much for the stuff they are doing right now or for the past few years

dragonfyr
A fine band! But are they a Deep Purple spin-off or more accurately an Iron Butterfly spinoff (along with Bobby Caldwell from Johnny Winter) - especially as Evans disappeared for whatever reason...?[]

That implies they sound like Purple or Iron Butterfly. I am not familier with Iron Butterfly save the"In a Gadda davida" thing. Purple is a different monster than Captain Beyond, who I really like as well. Captain Beyond could almost be..dare I say it...PROG. But so could Purple I guess. dragonfyr
Rhino and Lee Dorman from Iron Butterfly were the founders and backbone of Captain Beyond.[]

Dale A B
MK II for me. I did think "Burn" was a good disc, but releases after that with Coverdale didn't do it for me. Once Gillan and Blackmore surfaced with "Perfect Strangers", I was back on board for a few years. My current DP dvd collection includes "Hell or High Water", ""Perihelion", and "Total Abandon Australia". This could be a good time to pick up some DP video as Deepdiscountdvd has their 20% off sale on now!
colterphoto1
'Perihelion' - Alex, I thought I had everything, what's this piece about? Euro or Japanese? Michael
strutter
Ian Gillan he was also awesome with Black Sabbath. though most critics and fans (and Ian himself)didn't care much for it i think Born Again is one of Sabbaths best, because of Gillan.
