CUTTERS
I am in the hunt for some decent speakers. I listen to music approx. 60/40 over movies. It is casual listening. I have narrowed my selection down between 2 packages: PKG1: RB35 fronts, RC35 Center, RW12 sub, RSX5 rears PKG2: RB75 fronts, RC7 Center, RSX5 rears, no sub at this time due to upgrade cost. My question for you experts: Is there a large noticeable difference for the casual listener between the 35's and 75's? Is it going to be worth the upgrade to the 75's, eventhough I will have to wait on the subwoofer until the wallet recovers from lack of fluids? Let me have it...thx. PS. The room is approximately 20x30x10
Fish
I'm no expert but here goes. You really should go with package 2 in a room that size(rc7 really needed),floor stander fronts if at all possible would be nice.Hey,what can I say thats a good size room, you'll be satisfied longer too. Zen Traveler
Welcome to the forum CUTTERS. I would also go with PKG 2. I have the RB-75's/RC-7 Combo in my bedroom (paired with a lower end sub and RS-3's) and it sounds better than practically every home theater I have heard (outside of some outrageous ones that I have experienced through Klipsch get-togethers [])
CECAA850
Definitely #2. The RC-7 alone makes it worth the wait for the sub. You can spend the time recouping fluids by researching what type sub you want.
