Gerd
Hello there, I own a pair of used La Scala Horns, probably built in the 80's with plastic midrange horns. Now I am looking for a wiring diagramm of the crossovers. As far as I know there exists more than one design. I would appreciate very much some information where I can get such diagramms. Each of my crossovers contains two 68 microfarad electrolytic caps in parallel (= 136 microfarad) and parallel to the woofer. So the low pass is of second order but this value seems to be very high i.m.o. Does it make sense to substitute these caps with foil caps and/or to modify the value? Thanks for some support! RossVTaylor
Gerd, I couldn't have said it better than Tom did! In the mean time, until Al arrives on the scene, you can check out Al's crossover site where he also has downloadable diagrams available. "Here he comes to save the day, mighty Al is on his way..." (sing that over and over in your best baritone voice until Al responds) This message has been edited by RossVTaylor on 10-19-2001 at 11:58 AM

JohnA
What is the serial number of your La Scalas? Which Type of xover do they have (AL-3)? I can e-mail you a schematic of the AL-3, AL & AA. John
