Sorry I'm just getting this up. I have been rebuilding some old amps and lost track of the time.

Although participation was light last week, that's ok. The idea

behind this thread is to share some quality music not just post.

Sometimes people just aren't going to have something to offer.

That's cool by me, but I'll keep this thread going because it's a good

idea and besides I haven't yet run out of good music to share.

Format's simple: Name of artist or group, name of album, type of

music as best you can (rock, blues etc.), and recording format (cd, lp

etc.)

As usual I'll start it off with:

Leon Redbone, "From Branch to Branch", lp, ragtime

A man who should have been born in another era, but I'm glad he's

recording in mine. Thanks to commercials he did a few years ago

almost verybody has heard his deep baritone (?) and his total command

of music mostly from a bygone era. This is mostly gentle, almost

whimisical music with such tunes covered as Hot time In The Old Town

Tonight, My Blue Hevan and even When You Wish Upon a Star. Not

everybody's cup of tee, and not played by me a lot either, but if the

moods right it's a very enjoyable listen and well recorded.

So what do you have to share this week?

I'll be the first to respond this week.

As usual, from a genre that doesn't get much talk--Christian Contemporary..

The Album "Night of Joy" Recorded live on September 9 and 10 2005 at Walt Disney World. This is supposed to be a now annual event at the Magic Kingdom. Christian Artists from around the world gathered and put on a whale of a two day concert event. Here's the artist list from this years disc:

Audio Adrenaline--(they just won a grammy last night)

Bethany Dillon

Robbie Seay Band--one of my new favorite artists

Steven Curtis Chapman--a superstar in his own right.

Vicky Beeching

Paul Right

Mattew West

Superchick

Hawk Nelson

Kutless

KIKI Sheard

Antonio Neal

It also includes a couple of studio tracks from Narnia/Music inspired by the movie. Check it out.

I would like to recommend Michael Kaeshammer, "Tell You How

I Feel" Kind of a mixture of boogie, stride,

barrelhouse, ragtime. He's only in his mid twenties but boy

can he play piano. Buy this CD and prepare to be absolutely

amazed! Very well recorded to boot. I've only just

discovered him. Has anybody here heard this guy?
