Rudy81
I am starting to look around for a multi-cd player, around 300+ cd's, that is good sound quality and is worthwhile. I know multi-cd and sound quality are rarely synonimous, but was wondering if any of you have any suggestions. I have a large collection, and am getting tired of putting in one at a time during a listening session.
Fish
I have several Sony and Sony ES changers, never a problem. The sound quality may not be ultimate but with digital out to pre/pro dac its not bad.
colterphoto1
I got a cheapo Sony for my home gym. Hate it! You can only read the readout from straight in front of it (it's on a 3' stand so I have to hunch over to read it), if you plug it into switched outlet, it won't power up with the receiver, and it TAKES FOREVER TO LOAD A DISK. ccsakura
Try the Cambridge Audio 640H, it act as a music server with a hard drive. You can copy all the CD into its hard drive and let it play like computer with CD player quality(uncompressed). It's 160gb there so it's arond 300+CDs or so.
rlr267
I just bought the Pioneer PD-F1009. As for sound, I think it sounds better with analog connection than with the optical connection, but all in all, it sounds good. My old player was a cheap POS from Wal-Mart, so I don't have a good frame of reference for sound quality since a HTIB would have been an upgrade. I would suggest you audition this unit though, if there is a dealer near you.

Michael I'm not sure about which player you have but I can read mine at 20ft at 45 degree angle.Do you wear glasses?Mine takes several seconds to load a disc, not quite forever.I turn mine on with the remote. oldbuckster
I use Sony DVD, and for CD's I use a Sony ES series. Spend the extra dollars for the ES series, they are worth it!
Rudy81
I have been leaning toward the ES series of players. Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
