Buckeye_Nut
Note that in most states, getting a drivers license and voter registration are tied together. It's not about transportation, it's about people ILLEGALLY in this country to get the right to vote! Yep, I'm glad that some people are able to see this issue for it's face value. It's all about Democrats expanding their voter base, although non-citizens with drivers lisences cannot vote legally in state or federal elections. That's why the media is pressing so hard for amnesty in their reporting because they would desperately like to see millions of Mexicans become legal voters in the US. The whole point is to get them on the path towards citizenship and voting rights so they can cast their vote for the Democratic ticket. However, some of the more liberal municipalities in the NE already offer voting rights to non-citizen aliens for local elections. Most notably, NYC democrats are pressing to change their laws at this very moment.

Hispanics actually align much better with the republican party than the democratic party when issues such as "family values" and the non-obliteration of religion in daily life are considered. Immigration should be done through correct channels without a doubt, porous borders are a security threat. It is a sad commentary on today's businessmen that they prefer to save costs through hiring illegals so that they can boost profits and thus their perks and bonuses, while creating a massive threat to the security of our country. This during a time of so-called heightened awareness after a massive attack has already occured. Edit: Bankrupt airlines such as Northwest have the gall to ask the court to allow it to hire foreign nationals as cabin crew so it can cut costs to the bone, unthinkable to the less greedy after an event like 9/11. Buckeye_Nut
Hispanics actually align much better with the republican party than the democratic party when issues such as "family values" and the non-obliteration of religion in daily life are considered. The hispanic vote typically favors the Democrats at around 70-30%. (if the republicans are lucky). However, it always leans hard left. For example in 2000, GWB got 35% of the hispanic vote which is quite good for a republican. On the other hand, Bob Dole only got 20% of the hispanic vote in '96 against Clinton. Much of GWBs great results had a lot to do with a smart and efficient campaign targeting that group.

oldtimer
Not that I would vote for either, but your stats point out that lots of people are uninformed voters.

TheEAR
I'm with buckeye and buckster- they enter illegally then have the nerve to use the right to freedom of assembly and speech to demand amnesty for their actions? Ok, great that this type of assembly can take place in the USofA. I'm with ya there. But they are still here illegally- I say- they've given us notice that they will be in a particular place at a particular time. Line up the busses and deport this problem before it becomes an UNpeaceable assembly. Which it will. Michael Well said Colter These ILLEGALS have the nerve to DEMAND rights! Lou Dobbs said it best on CNN,when a woman told him they pay taxes(estimated 3-4 billion at best)they cost over a tenfold that.Illegal aliens are a problem in the USA,Canada and Europe. These low skilled workers always claim refugee status, wich is bogus 99.9999% of the time.Since almost all of them were nobodies back home, and they always use the same lame excuses when invading countries illegally. Buckeye_Nut
If they were smart, they'd be protesting their own government in Mexico City, not the USA. There is absolutely no reason that Mexico should be poor. They have a rich nation with two coasts, lots of natural resources, a large willing labor force....ect, etc, etc... There is absolutely no reason their country cannot rise up and leave poverty behind. They'd be much better served by protesting their own corrupt government. The fact that they protest the US because of their problems brought on by their own goverment is simply mind boggling.
