Not looking forward to Irene but I changed the oil in the generator and have 15 gallons of gas on hand. In other words, it'll miss us by at least 100 miles. LarryC Posted August 27, 2011 Share Posted August 27, 2011 It's wierd -- almost 5 AM, and quiet as a mouse outside. Hard to believe we'll have 50 mph winds and 8 in. of rain in less than 24 hrs. I have been through Betsy, Camille, and Katrina to name a few. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW FAST THINGS CAN GO REALLY WRONG WITH ONE OF THESE STORMS!!! This one is staying over water the whole time and that makes it double trouble!!! Do not trust the weatherman these storms are very unpredictable, I am living proof!!!
