Kain
A number of people have told me to get sperates over a receiver. Are sperates really that much better? If I were to get sperates, which ones should I get to replace the Denon AVR-4802? Secondly, I live in Dubai, UAE and I am not sure if I will be able to get what you guys tell me, so is there any online A/V store that ships internationally? Thanks! ------------------ Home Theater (getting soon): TV: Samsung SP-43L2FX (43" LCD Rear Projection HDTV) DVD player: Toshiba SD-900E (Progressive Scan DVD player) VCR: Sony SLV-ED100 (HiFi VCR) Receiver: Denon AVC-A11SR (230V version of Denon AVR-4802) Speakers - Center: Klipsch RC-7 Mains: Klipsch RF-7 Surrounds: Klipsch RS-7 Subwoofer: SVS CS-Ultra w/Samson S1000 amplifier
Kain
BTW, if I get seperates, I will basically need an amp and a preamp instead of a receiver. Right? ------------------ Home Theater (getting soon): TV: Samsung SP-43L2FX (43" LCD Rear Projection HDTV) DVD player: Toshiba SD-900E (Progressive Scan DVD player) VCR: Sony SLV-ED100 (HiFi VCR) Receiver: Denon AVC-A11SR (230V version of Denon AVR-4802) Speakers - Center: Klipsch RC-7 Mains: Klipsch RF-7 Surrounds: Klipsch RS-7 Subwoofer: SVS CS-Ultra w/Samson S1000 amplifier
Kain
You know what? I think I'll just stick to the Denon AVR-4802 receiver right now because this is my first Home Theater and want to keep costs low. Sparates could be a furture upgrade for me. ------------------ Home Theater (getting soon): TV: Samsung SP-43L2FX (43" LCD Rear Projection HDTV) DVD player: Toshiba SD-900E (Progressive Scan DVD player) VCR: Sony SLV-ED100 (HiFi VCR) Receiver: Denon AVC-A11SR (230V version of Denon AVR-4802) Speakers - Center: Klipsch RC-7 Mains: Klipsch RF-7 Surrounds: Klipsch RS-7 Subwoofer: SVS CS-Ultra w/Samson S1000 amplifier
TheEAR
Stick with the Denon 4802,unless you want(can)spend much more.Worthwile separates are costly. The 4802 has power, quality and features to keep your HT system up to the task for years. TheEAR(s) Now theears

TheEAR
Since you havegreat cool parents ask them to get you a ATI 2505 power amp. This will help the Klipsch R series reach their peak sound quality...and power. The ATI 2505 is rated at 250W RMS per channel, all channels driven, full bandwith. Its around $2500 US and weighs just a wee bit over 100lbs. Hey WHY NOT? If the parents are great and cool, they must say "Ok ok son you get your low cost system if you eat your cereals".
