st. patrick
back in the mid to late 70's there was a song that had a line "if you're so vicious, why don't you swallow a razorblade" or maybe "why don't you go swallow a razorblade if you are so vicious" i used to think it was Dire Straits or maybe Lou Reed, but i can't seem to find it. Any of you with better memories (mental capacity, that is) help me out here???? thanks, Patrick
sputnik
I think you had it - "Vicious", Lou Reed. Right? Vicious You hit me with a flower You do it every hour Ohh, baby you're so vicious Vicious You want me to hit you with a stick But all I've got's a guitar pick Huh... baby you're so vicious When I watch you come I just want to run far away You're not the kind of person Around whom I want to stay When I see you comin' down the street I step on your hands and I mangle your feet You're not the kind of person that I wanna meet Oh, baby, you're so vicious Vicious You hit me with a flower You do it every hour Ohh, baby you're so vicious Vicious Hey, why don't you swallow razor blades You must think I'm some kinda gay blade But baby, you're so vicious When I watch you comin' I just have to run You're not good and you certainly aren't very much fun When I see you walkin' down the street I step on your hand and I mangle your feet You're not the kind of person that I even wanna meet 'Cause you're so vicious Vicious Vicious
st. patrick
Sputs, I think that is it, but I mostly remember the rythym and those few phrases. So, my friend, who sung it? I remeber listening to it when I was going to law school in paris during the summer of 77 . .( .i think) , but that is as far as my memory will take me. Good to hear from you. sputnik
Hey Patrick, I edited my post above when I saw that I didn't include the name. Lou Reed 1972, according to site I pulled the lyric from.
sputnik
I just noticed. 1977? Law school? Paris???? I'm jealous. I didn't make it to Paris until I was in my thirties and married. It was great to be there with my wife at an age where we had enough money to go first class but I also wish I could've experienced it when I was poor, young, and single. Timmikid
It's on Transformer (1972). Lou Reed's 2nd solo album. It also contains perfect day and walk on the wild side.
