Zen Traveler
Welcome to the forum drewgo1. The Denon AVR 3805/DVD 3910 driving an RF-7 based system would be hard to beat for Music and Movies. I have both components but hooked up to different pieces. I am a fan of Denon products. []

kelA
THANX BUT I AM STILL TRYING TO LAND SOME RF-7,S Too bad you were not closer. The local Ovation store here is still trying to get rid of 2 pairs of RF7's. I think they are asking around a grand for a pair. I'm sure they would be willing to deal since they are trying desparately to move these.
tigerwoodKhorns
$1,000 and willing to deal is a very good price for new RF7's. If they are willing to ship you can avoid sales tax if they don't have a location in your state. Give them a call.
Fabulas
do you have a number to this store. I'd like these! Thanks
kelA
do you have a number to this store. I'd like these! Thanks I am not sure if they would be willing to ship them, or what they would charge, but the guy I would deal with is Terry Smith. The number to the store is 859-272-0027. He is waiting to clear out the RF7 before getting any of the 63 or 83's for his floor. I heard some 7's paired with a 400wpc McIntosh amp, and I am still trying to believe how good they sounded, so effortless.

drewg01
I am trying a compromise. WAF. I can not have 2 stereos in the same room any more. Any suggestions for something similiar to the denon 3805 that is musically superior? Thanx
Only ERO's
I just bought a pair from Ultimate Electronics. I bought a pair of floor models and will have $800 in them. They cost me $306 each but I had to have them shipped. A friend of mine has a set of RF-7's. He originally had them hooked up to a Denon 3803. He didn't think he had enough power and recommends using amps. I bought his Monster Power 250W/channel amps from him to power my Reference 7 setup. [] {edit: BTW, weren't your B&K components considerably more expensive than the Denon AVR-3805 you were looking at?}
drewg01
the b&k pair were only 1400 [] and I thought that was pretty good for getting into seperates
Zen Traveler
I agree that is a good price. I wanted to point out and clarify that when I said the AVR-3805/DVD-3910 was a hard system to beat I meant for the price and would work well with the RF-7's. [] I didn't realize that you were able to spend over 2x as much on the amp/pre-pro combo vs AVR. It appears you made a heck of a deal.[8]
drewg01
I used the klipsch forums to research and was concerned that i might not have enough power to drive the rf-7's,and I know that starts awhole other ball of wax but I am doing this blind.I do not live near a centre where I can listen to any quality gear.So as we all know one thing led to another and I found the b&k on audiogon
