Frzninvt
Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ONE-KLIPSCH-FORTE-II_W0QQitemZ160015358025QQihZ006QQcategoryZ61378QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem He is in the same town that I live in, but $50 shipping is more than reasonable for a speaker of this size and weight. Hopefully, if shipped this speaker won't suffer the same fate as the other one at the hands of the UPS gorillas. Great for a center channel between a pair of Forte' II's. rplace
Somebody in the NE part of the U.S. should pick up this along with the forum member's Chours for sale in the another thread and have a nice front three with very little cost or travel. Get going!
SamS
Off topic: can someone tell me how woofer cones (like the speaker linked above) get pushed in so often? I've owned a dozen+ pairs of speakers, and never once had this problem occur. Is it kids? Carelessness?
Frzninvt
That is not the woofer cone, it is merely the dust cap. The dust cap is typically soft and pliable and it is easy to get pushed in. Kids are a good cause, this speaker was shipped so that explains this one. It does not affect the passive radiators performance in any way and can easily be remedied with the careful use of a home vacuum cleaner or gentle use of a piece of duct tape to gently pull it back out. A very simple fix. It is really a non issue, merely a cosmetic deficiency.
SamS
Ya, you are correct. I meant dust cap but it came out cone. Still, it takes a bit of a deliberate nature to actually move/damage the dust cap. It's not like you're just walking by and you can accidently smoosh it. Oh well...
