Arky
I need to replace spkrs in a Landcruiser. Looks like I need: 4 - 4" 2 - 6.5" 2 - 8" I haven't kept up with auto audio. Any suggestions welcome. Would like to stay under $500. Thanks
Raider
Check out Diamond Audio and JLAudio. Both have very good sounding speakers at reasonable prices and are well regarded. Generally stay away from brands that the big box guys handle, you can do better for the dollar. Be sure to take a familiar CD with you that you really like, and pick what sounds good to you. Shops are notorious for having demo discs that will dazzle you on most any system. Buy what sounds good to YOU. Generally speaking the speakers that dazzle you on a demo board will be harsh in your car. Take time to listen, and shy away from any that have any abrasive characteristic. Good luck. fini
I think Polk makes some excellent car speakers. I'm extremely happy with mine. You know, when your as insanely busy as I have been the last month, the car is your main listening room. I have a simple Pioneer deck. Best of luck, Arky!! oldbuckster
Boston Acoustic , JBL , Polk , any of the Bigger names are good......Most important to find speakers that will fit right.......not all speakers fit all applications.......... Frzninvt
Shallow depth = a/d/s or Morel
TheEAR
Shallow depth = a/d/s or Morel Morel makes some fine mid-bass drivers, very large VC alot like a less expensive Dynaudio.
