callmeishmael
Amy, You mentioned Vincent Price. My faves are The Pit and the Pendelum. The Tingler, Cry of the Banshee. I cannot remember them all. Oh yes, and one without Mr. Price that scared the begesus out of me as a kid, The Killer Shrews. How about the original Wolfman, Frakenstein and The Mummy? Moderators Amy Posted October 12, 2007 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2007 I saw the Pit and the Pendullum just 2 weeks ago. Great stuff! He was truly an original. I'll probably get to House on Haunted Hill this weekend... Thanks for the other suggestions!

The early horror films rock much more to my preference than the fast flashy camera BS of today. I also like Journey TO The Moon which Edison brought to America from France without permission from the filmmaker so when the actually filmmaker showed up everyone had seen it..... Edison was an early bootlegger : ) You should also see the original Island of Dr Moreu entiteled "Island Of Lost Soul" which is where DEVO got the phrase "Are we not men?". Genius!
