Guest " "
Found this deal on ebay. Did my homework and found it to be really close to what i was looking for. The auction was for 2 50 watt mono blocks. This model was built in 1991. List price was 2000 each. Got both for 560.

D-MAN
Nothing wrong with that buy! looks like a good deal. I had tube power amps (push-pull 6550's, 60w per). There really is not a noticable sonic difference with power amp topology IMO. But the tube-pre was a different story. That's where the bang-for-the-buck is! Get a good one, and you won't be sorry. Rick4001
Ditto! Just won a Dynaco Stereo 70 off ebay. Won't be powering Klipschs, though. It's for my basement system with a PAT4 pre (SS) and Dynaco A-25's.

Guest " "
Well they arrived. Went thru all the checks and precautions. Played around with triode vs ultralinear mode for a while. Well I'm listening to Christina Aguilera in Triode mode. The amp pass'es the test. The sound is everyhting folks rave about when they talk about the sound of tubes. This is not how I remember tube equipment sounded during the early 70's, what an improvement. There are no issues at all with bass, dynamic range, noise, etc. The amps are dead quit between tracks. Time to do some more playing. Naked pictures (pic's with the case off) to follow.

Do we get to choose the pictures behind door #1 or door #2? [A] (not that too many of her outfits leave a lot to the imagination)
