RTTR
What would be a recommended distance from a wall with a pair of RF-83's, I'm trying to see if I can work them into my room.
Fish
Sound would be the main way to determine the distance but I would want them a foot or so out as a start.I had mine about a foot out and about 2ft from side(the front anyway due to tow in). kelA
I thought somebody said once that a good rule is twice the diameter of the port. I am not sure if you take into account that the RF83 have a total of 3 ports or not. I thought that the port on these were fairly small though, so I would maybe add 1.5 ports together and then double that, as a starting point. Raider
I spoke to, I think, Steve in Tech support at Klipsch a few weeks ago. He recommended at least 18" as optimal. Since the speakers are about 18" deep, the front face of the speaker will bew three feet into your room. One of my dealers however told me that they are more forgiving than that.
