Jay481985
AZNracerx1989 Did you get a ear infection in that ear by chance? I am thinking that it might have been an infection that hurt you one ear.
AZNracerx1989
I dont think I have ear infection beacuse the doctor and audiologist would have seen it when looking at my eardrum. Something new happened to my ears last week. I think I perforated my eardrum. When I hear anything a little loud, my ear hurts.

Well the doctor if he is only half competent should tell you if you suffer from a perforated ear drum. This can be caused by an extreme SPL,and I mean EXTREME and brutal. You would remember an even like this. I would see another doctor and go to the bottom of things, hearing is too important to let one doc have his say,no matter who it is. AZNracerx1989
I got an SPL meter from radioshack... I found out that I can enjoy music under 85 DB... However, at 85 DB on klipsch speakers, the tweeter sounds harsh kind of. If my meter reads under 85 db... does that mean its safe?
Jay481985
c or a weighted?
AZNracerx1989
C... The low frequencies trigger the sound meter more.. The high frequencies are more piercing to the ear but does not trigger the sound meter as much.

Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted November 29, 2006 Klipsch Employees Share Posted November 29, 2006 I was told that the "cause" sound is about 1.5 oct. below the point that the loss occurs. If you have a 3.4k loss then the problem sound was much lower.
