wuzzzer Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 wow. Wow. WOW. WOWOWOWOW. I'm at the scene where the alien thing is coming out of the earth. EVERYTHING IN MY ROOM IS RATTLING. I have the subsonic filter tuned to 12Hz. I think I'm causing structural damage to my house. Good thing my wife isn't home! I don't even have the volume turned up as loud as I've listened to other movies at. I hope my neighbors don't think that we're really being attacked by aliens!! [6] Quote
Speedball Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Plenty of time for home repairs later.......on with the show. Quote
HatTrick66 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 No movie theater I have ever been in can compare! It's fun, isn't it? Quote
TheEAR Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 With a good sub the alien pods emerging are a feast for the ears, and plenty of palpable agression. I like the special effects in that one. [] Quote
wuzzzer Posted November 22, 2006 Author Posted November 22, 2006 Couldn't resist watching that scene again. This time I adjusted the filter to 16Hz. Definitely louder spl output with that setting! [H] I can't wait to have some friends over to watch it. I'd imagine that 99% of the people out there don't even realize how much bass is recorded in movies! Quote
TheEAR Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 In Hollywood when somebody farts you have overtones...undertones and super fart tones...reaching to below 10Hz! [] Quote
Arky Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 That movie has so much bass I was actually concerned I would damage something. Quote
