Tarheel's Hybrid LaScalas

I built a pair of hybrids for Chuck. We had a couple of goals in mind when we started the project. One was improving the mid range performance by using Altec 511-b horns and 902 drivers. Second was to improve high end performance with Beyma CP-25 tweeters. Third to improve the bass 1'' MDF was used in the bass horn like the new Lascala IIs. Also, we wanted to address the toe in problem caused by limited corner space in Chuck's music room. I've got some construction pics coming up next.

I see you use a tweeter. I assume you think the 902 highs are soft? Have you tried a compensated crossover like in the 19? Very good extension from 902s with that type of crossover.

I really never never had any interest in a two way system. I like the sound of Beyma tweeters in my K-horn hybrids. We wanted to try the same three way set up in a LaScala set up.
