Danny - I'll keep a look-out.

BTW: You better get Duke Pearsons Wahoo and Horace Silvers A Song For My Father! I don't see "Blue Train" or that list either. That will introduce you to Curtis Fuller on the slide trombone! Jimmy Smith's "The Sermon" is another must if only to hear Morgan's solo!

Boomac,

I can't find the "offical" list on my pc, but I found the above list.

I bought Blue Train on CD and again on vinyl last weekend. You are right about Curtis Fuller. I think he is my favorite off Blue Train. I bought a Curtis Fuller CD because of this album. I just love his trombone playing.

Jimmy Smith is another favorite. his BluesDot Com is one of my favorite's. He has so many guest player's on it. It has to be in my top 25 of favorite albums.

I will try and copy the list and save it as a document and post it here this weekend.

I can't remember if Johnny Hodges was on the above list, but everyone needs a copy of "Everybody Knows Johnny Hodges".

Again I have to thank Allan for turning me onto such great music and I hope he doesn't get upset with me for using the list.

Danny
