3dzapper
Craig, Do I remember you saying that Heyerbower can rewind a transformer? The power tranny in my 300B amp seems to have a shorted primary. The fuses keep popping, even with the rectifier removed and stop when the PT is lifted eliminating the input filter. I need like 360 VCT 150mA (?), 5V 2 5A, 6.3 CVT 2 2A and 5 x 2 @ 2A. Obviously, it is a large piece of iron![] Rick
NOSValves
Rick, Give them a call with the physical dimensions, bolt pattern and the tap information you listed above above and they can wind you up a exact boly in replacemnt no problem. Ask for Phil and tell him I sent you. Craig PS I think your ratings are a good bit low for that tube compliment. Have them over build within your size limitations. 3dzapper
Can you PM me the phone #? Thanx. The spec's above except the voltages are just guessed at. Of course they would know more than me and I'll follow they're advice. They are the Pro's.[] Rick
meagain
Craig - I don't suppose you'd be up to checking out a tube CDP for me? Do you do stuff like that as well?
NOSValves
Lisa, What tube CDP is it? I can work on the tube output section but if the problem is in the digital or SS realm I'm not into it at all. What problem are you having? jcmusic
Rick are those Sovtek 300b's? How do you like them? Jay
3dzapper
Jay, Those are Electro Harmonex Gold Grids. Without a doubt, the best 300B for the money! Rick
jcmusic
Rick I am only asking because from the pic, they have a black base and a red tint or something red on them. I assumed they were Sovteks like the ones I had before with the red star. Anyway I just got a pair of Gold Grids a few days ago, and they have white bases with gold lettering. I was just a little confused. Jay

jcmusic
Ha! Ha! now those tubes look more like the ones I have, But you slipped in a different amp didn't you!!!!!!!! Jay
3dzapper
No, it's the same amp, same chassis. I swapped out the PS choke for a heftier unit, eliminated the volume pots, added the black walnut trim and a new on/off switch. I have made so many mods under the chassis, that I don't have a photographic record. Rick
