montigue Posted December 9, 2001 Share Posted December 9, 2001 I have the KG 5.2's which are roughly the same as your speaker's. I bought the Klipsch C-7 and the timbre matching was perfect. It blends in very well with the KG series. For my soround's I have KG 2.2's. For you the KG .5 or the KG 2.5's will be the match. I went with the 2.2's because of more output. The KG4.2 has the same tweeter (the K-85-K) as the KG5.5 so that makes it the best match. I had a KV-3 before I found the KG4.2; it did good, but I wanted the best possible match. t-man Posted December 11, 2001 Share Posted December 11, 2001 Use the search feature to find lots of debate on this question. As for myself, I currently use the KG 2.2 with my 5.5s. I also have a C7 in storage. Both work very well, and the C7 is a louder, and cleaner speaker. It overplays the 5.5s a bit though, and the 2.2 is more mellow, but laid back compared to the 5.5. Neither are perfect. I have KG1s for my rear, and like them very much. Good deals out there to be had on KG speakers, and the 5.5s are a great nucleus.
