Hey all,

I'm on the lookout for another pair of Cornwall I's or II's for my rec-room. I live near Milwaukee, WI and would like to find a pair w/in driving distance. Anyways, I may entertain a partial trade for my LaScalas for some Cornwalls. If anyone has any info, please post or email at: tidmack@yahoo.com

thanks

Jeff

Hiya, May I ask why you're not happy with the la scallas in your rec room? How would the cornwalls be better for you?

Thanks

Busa,

Ahhh, good question. I"m happy with my LaScalas, but I'm running them with a pair of cornwall IIs. I'm really torn between the best of the two speaks. I really enjoy the strong mids on the Scalas, but as everyone knows, they really lack the low-end. That's why I bought the Cornwall IIs. They really hit nice down into the 30's Hz, which I miss on the Scalas. BUT, I don't think the Cornwalls have the mids that the LaScalas do.

At any rate, I've been toying with pairing up the Cornwall IIs with another pair of Cornwall Is or IIs and either selling or keeping the LaScalas for the living room.

Do I maybe have a good combination, with the two complimenting eachother with their individual strenghts?? Maybe I'm better off leaving it the way it is?

Either way, I'm definitely looking for another pair of Cornwalls. If anyone has any leads within 200-300 miles of milwaukee, let a fellow Heritage fan know!!

Thanks and any comments or suggestions are welcome,

Jeff

I've seen several comments about the Scala's lack of bass. Mine have very deep tight bass, much better than most subs. I'm talking shake the house bass. They are bone stock. I gotta wonder If it's placement or component issues that don't let Scala's really work. I had to try a bunch of different receivers (from very spendy to very cheap)to find what worked.

There is a member here who has 4 cornwalls and from what I've read he's real happy with that setup.

I think you probably would too.

I have never heard the LaScalas but I have heard others speak of their lackluster bass.

I have one pair of cornwall 1's and wouldn't part with them for the world. Smile.gif
