My house option has changed AGAIN and now I will be relegated to one family room system. What a freaking year it has been. Thanks in advance. Arky
Billy, I think i've seen that stand a couple of times in the show your theater thread but I think it was used with a big rptv. Will your use have the front resting on top frame of a slim dlp?
wstrickland1
It's on a Samsung 61" DLP, which is the type of TV I think the stand is made for. It says it's rated for 30 lbs, I think the RC 7 exceeds that by about 11 or so pounds. It almost sounds like a recipe for disaster, but was wondering if anyone has used this product with a RC 7. I get the feeling it's not going to be a good idea.
Arky
Maybe not, however aren't ratings normally conservative?
Arky
Have you checked standsandmounts.
sunburnwilly
Billy , The shelf area on the back of my Samy is only 8 inches . I would not advise putting anything the size of the RC7 on top of it . Better to suspend a shelf from the ceiling . Or buy a single Belle

kelA
Somebody either on this forum or over at avsforum had one of those mounts that broke on him. I would not chance it with the RC7. Too nice of a center channel to risk damaging.
Arky
Not to mention the TV.
wstrickland1
yeah, it could be a disaster. My problem is that now, I need the space under the TV for electronics since the new house has me limited, and hanging it from the ceiling ain't happenin'. I might go with one of those short stands for centers and put it on the floor in front of the electronics. Not ideal I know but I guess thats the route I'm taking. dachuckster
Billy, I have the RC7 on a TV stand that I bought at Best Buy. Its a wall mount TV stand that is secured by 4 or 5 lag screws. The stand is built to hold up to 100 pounds, more than strong enough for the RC7. It works great, and only costs $60.99. Here is a link; http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6780539&productCategoryId=cat08093&type=product&cmp=++&id=1089890283604 Good luck! wstrickland1
dachuckster, I believe that is exactly the ticket. Thanks! Billy
Shade
I'll second the wall mount tv stand. Been using one for a while now with the same setup as you, RC-7 & Samsung DLP. Home Depot has them too.
