wingnut77
Can someone clarify this for me, I heard that when installing speakers that the cable lengths should all be the same. If I'm installing a 5.1 system in a bonus room do I need to make all 5 the same (or just the front three (and rear two)) or none. thanks for the info........[^o)]
Jay481985
you can if you want but the difference in length is negliable since electricity travels nearly at the speed of light.
JJkizak
Well, if your dealing with RF yes, but with audio don't know for sure. However volume wise your Avia test disc and SPL meter will set them all to the correct level. JJK
tommyboy
I've also heard this, more than once. I know they have that on Monster's website somewhere. I'm not sure it would make a difference or not. I don't have all mine the same length. I guess it wouldn't hurt anything if you have enough wire, or enough dough to get the wire. But for a blunt answer, no, it's not necessary to have all them the same lenghth.
dachuckster
I had heard the front 3 should be the same, and the 2 surrounds should be the same. That is what I did before I sheetrocked everything inside the walls.
J.4knee
It simply does not matter. Any other claim is salesmanship on the part of the manufacturer.
